FORUM of Education Office, Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education chapter has endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oboreweri in the forthcoming governorship and house of assembly elections scheduled for Saturday 11th March, 2023.

The endorsement came after the PDP gubernatorial candidate addressed civil servants at the Professor Chike Edozie State Secretariat Complex and the interactive session of His Excellency, the Governor held at the Doom Asaba with all civil servants in the State.

In a statement made by the Chairman of the forum, Comrade Alika Romanus and the Secretary-General of the forum, Comrade Ethe Ikede , lauded the actions of the governor and the gubernatorial candidate to address civil servants.

The statement added that the initiative of the governor and the PDP governorship candidate was an affirmation of their desire to attend to the needs and aspirations of the civil servants and education Officers in the State in general.

Comrade Alika and Comrade Ike decommended the extension of service years of teachers and appealed to Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa should amend the policy to cover education Officers in the civil service as the federal government also covered the education Officers at the federal level.

The duo, however, encouraged all education officers in the state to come out enmass and vote in the Saturday’s election , stressing that it was their constitutional right to select their leaders for the next four years.
