THE Ophthalmology Department in the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH),Oghara, has been charged to make good use of new equipment given to them by the Chief Medical Director, Prof Nekwo Okolugbo to boost their services in the hospital.
The charge was given by the CMD, while presenting to the department an I-care tonometer in the Boardroom of the hospital in Oghara, the headquarters of Ethiope West Local Government Area,as part of efforts to bring excellent health care service delivery to patients in the DELSUTH.
The device, according to the CMD, would help in checking the eye pressure of patients with glaucoma.
The Head of the Department, Dr. Ebele Abadom, who received the equipment, expressed her joy, saying the equipment would help them in discharging their services effectively.
Dr. Ugboka Efe, on behalf of the department, expressed delight, sayting that the CMD had fulfilled his promise of assuring that there would be robust clinical services with the availability of clinical equipment needed for excellent health care delivery.
